A certain line from Becky Lynch‘s latest promo now has fans speculating about a potential new alliance.
Ahead of her WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship rematch against Maxxine Dupri on January 5, Becky Lynch met face-to-face with Dupri on this week’s episode of WWE Raw on Netflix. Amidst their exchange of words, Lynch noted that she reached prior success by overcoming mountains and injustices placed in front of her, such as the “corruption” of referees. Looking ahead to the title match, Lynch then asserted that it would be no different there either.
“It is not over. It is never over until I win, and I always find a way to win,” Lynch said.
Across social media, fans called attention to this particular line. It closely mirrors the opening voice in the theme song of WWE NXT star Jordynne Grace, which says, “It’s not over until I win.”
“Don’t think it’s a coincidence that Becky used the line ‘it’s not over, it’s never over until I win’ in her promo on RAW last night. Jordynne’s theme song starts with ‘it’s not over until I win,’” one fan wrote on X. The remark suggests that Lynch’s remark may be indicative of an upcoming alliance between her and Grace.
Imminent Plans For Jordynne Grace
Currently, Grace is assigned to the WWE NXT brand. A recent report, however, indicated that several NXT stars were in line for imminent call-ups to WWE’s main roster. Grace was tabbed as a potential option.
One day after Lynch is slated to challenge for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship on Raw, Grace is confirmed to be involved in another title match. NXT Women’s North American Champion Thea Hail will defend her title against Blake Monroe on NXT New Year’s Evil.
Earlier this month, Hail surprised fans (and WWE officials) when she pinned Monroe in a title match on NXT. Now, she will defend the title against Monroe in a rematch with Grace in her corner. Grace and Monroe, of course, have a heated history as the latter famously turned on the former at WWE Evolution.
Whether or not “The Juggernaut” will also be involved in Lynch’s respective title rematch on Raw has yet to be seen. Should it happen, though, it would certainly make things very interesting when Grace appears on NXT the following night.
