RJ City puts his knowledge of Canada to the test.
The former Hey! (EW) star spoke with Dani of the Black Girl Wrestling podcast. During the conversation, RJ was put on the spot and asked to name three Black Canadians that Dani has heard of.
“Kardinal Offishall,” RJ City shared. Huh… No?”
“No, let’s keep going,” Dani replied.
“There was—I don’t know if he was Canadian, but he played for the Toronto Blue Jays, does that count?” City asked.
“We’ll round up,” Dani said.
“Ok, Joe Carter. In Toronto, he’s big. I don’t want to say Drake, because I feel like he’s admitting I am out of people,” RJ joked. “Measha Brueggergosman? She’s like a Canadian opera singer, she has a really long last name. No? I swear, because Canadians, we have like 12 celebrities period, so we trot them out for everything.”
“I’d say that you definitely failed that one, and it’s a pass [or] fail,” Dani replied. “I think if you study and come back, maybe, maybe we’ll try again.”
Dani went on to ask more about Canada, which RJ City referred to as the “RC Cola of North America.”
Kardinal Offishall (real name Jason Drew Harrow) is a Canadian rapper and record producer. He is also known for his role as a host on Canada’s Got Talent.
