Liv Morgan gets emotional while describing her journey to becoming a WWE superstar and how it saved her family.
Former WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan was a recent guest on Stephanie McMahon’s What’s Your Story podcast. During the conversation, she looked back at losing her father before she was even born, and how she got a clear sense that she wanted to become a pro wrestler and save her family.
“My father passed away before I was born,” Liv Morgan began. “He had a heart attack at the kitchen table with my entire family watching. So, you can imagine the effects it had on my mother, my brothers, and my sisters, who had just watched our father pass. So, I think everyone was very traumatized by that, and it was like years of destruction and chaos before I feel like anyone could find peace. I kind of like missed that era, like, I wasn’t born yet.
“But I just remember growing up, and I remember the first time I watched WWE. I don’t know what it was, but I had such a clear sense that this is what I’m gonna do, and I’m gonna save my family. I don’t know how five-year-old me felt that and knew that, but I believed that to be true more than anything in my entire life.
Liv Morgan Became Emotional Knowing That She Is Living Her Dream
“So, growing up, I feel like I just wanted to be a good person so that I could make it to the WWE, so that I could change my family’s life. So, that always was at the forefront of my mind. I was so driven to see that through. So, I felt like that was really it. I just wanted to be the one to save us.”
Liv Morgan then became emotional, saying, “It’s crazy to think that 31 years later, I did see that through, and it’s crazy to be sitting on this couch with you.”
“So, it’s crazy to just know that and feel that so young. With every fiber of my being, I knew that, like, I was gonna somehow make this happen. It’s crazy because if you look at my life on paper, like, I should not be here. I just was so steadfast, and I can’t explain why I had that knowledge and information and belief downloaded in my soul, like, this is what it is. I never wavered on that, and so, to be sitting here with you, talking about it is insane,” Liv Morgan said.
