WWE NXT Star Believed To Be A ‘Major Player’ For The Company — Report

WWE reportedly has plans for an NXT Superstar to be a major player in the company for years to come.

Earlier this week, Oba Femi vacated the NXT Championship at New Year’s Evil following a successful title defense over TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater. This was done because WWE main roster creative doesn’t want The Ruler taking any more losses on his way to the main roster. Femi is currently set for the RAW brand and will be featured prominently at this year’s WrestleMania. But the company reportedly has big plans for Femi beyond that.

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, those in WWE who have worked for Femi have nothing but great things to say about him. With some higher names in the company believing that The Ruler will be “the biggest major player of all.” Putting him ahead of other recent call-ups, Trick Williams and Je’Von Evans.

It will be interesting to see how WWE books Femi once he officially makes his main roster debut this month.

Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information as it becomes available.
