Liv Morgan has provided an update on Dominik Mysterio’s WWE return.
“Dirty Dom” has not been seen on WWE television since suffering a shoulder injury at AAA Guerra de Titanes in December 2025. Initial reports suggested he would be sidelined for the foreseeable future but would not require surgery.
During a recent appearance on the RAW Recap podcast, Liv Morgan was asked about Dominik Mysterio’s medical status.
The Judgment Day star sounded optimistic while providing the latest update on Dominik’s WWE comeback. She also confirmed reports that Mysterio remains the Intercontinental Champion despite his absence from weekly programming.
“Daddy Dom, he’s home resting. He’s recovering. We’re just playing it safe. He is, after all, our double champion. He is, as of right now, the crown jewel of The Judgment Day. So we protect and cater to Daddy Dom. And we’re just playing it safe with him. He’ll be back soon, but he’s doing some well deserved [rest and relaxation]. He was quite literally running Monday Night Raw for, like, the last full year. You don’t think that Daddy Dom deserves a little bit of a break, a little bit of a rest, a little bit of an off day, a little bit of a reprieve? My goodness,” Liv Morgan said. [H/T: F4WOnline]
WWE expects Dominik Mysterio to be back by Royal Rumble
According to another report, WWE is hopeful that Dominik Mysterio will be cleared to return in time for the company’s annual Royal Rumble premium live event.
Randy Orton and Jacob Fatu, who were previously listed internally, made their returns several days ago. The Viper resurfaced on the first episode of SmackDown in 2026 to kick off a filler feud with former World Champion The Miz.
As for Fatu, the Samoan Werewolf made his surprise return during the Undisputed WWE Championship main event between Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre last Friday. Fans can catch up on how the angle played out here.
