WWE SmackDown Sees Pull Apart Brawl Between Cody Rhodes And Jacob Fatu

Cody Rhodes and Jacob Fatu got into a huge brawl on WWE SmackDown.

The entire drama surrounding Jacob Fatu’s mysterious attack a few months ago reached the next level last week on WWE SmackDown when The Samoan Werewolf returned during the Undisputed WWE Championship Three Stages of Hell match between Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre. He attacked both McIntyre and Rhodes during the contest, inadvertently enabling The Scottish Warrior to walk out as the new champion.

Jacob Fatu made his presence felt on this week’s WWE SmackDown in London when he chased Drew McIntyre away during the opening segment. Cody Rhodes came out later in the show, and after declaring himself for the 2026 men’s Royal Rumble match, he called Fatu out, saying he’s owed a receipt for costing him the Undisputed WWE Championship.

This prompted Jacob Fatu to reappear and call out Cody Rhodes. The former Undisputed WWE Champion stormed to the ring and got into a brawl with the Samoan Werewolf. Security had to intervene to try to pull them apart. WWE SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis came out and tried to restore order as security succeeded in separating the two superstars.

The aftermath of the brawl saw WWE officially announcing that Cody Rhodes and Jacob Fatu will square off in a one-on-one match at Saturday Night’s Main Event on January 24 in Montreal, Canada. The two superstars have a prior history competing against each other in tag team matches, but SNME will feature the first time they collide in singles competition.
