Update On Rey Mysterio’s Injury Status Following WWE RAW — Report

It appears that Rey Mysterio suffered an injury in his match last night against Austin Theory. But how serious is it?

Last night on WWE RAW, Rey Mysterio appeared to injure his knee during an outside-of-the-ring hurricanrana spot with Austin Theory. Mysterio would come up after the move with a considerable limp, and the referee at one point put up the infamous “X” symbol signifying a legitimate injury.

Luckily, it appears this injury won’t be a serious one.

According to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer, the early signs of the injury are trending in an optimistic direction. Meltzer noted he believes the injury is “not serious.”

As for how long Mysterio will be sidelined, that’s currently unknown. As of this writing, Mysterio is still scheduled for this Saturday’s Royal Rumble match and hasn’t been pulled yet. But things could obviously change in the coming days.

Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information as it becomes available.
