WWE Hall of Famer Ricky Morton has a message for wrestlers who neglect their hygiene.
The former tag team specialist reflected on a bad experience from the weekend and reminded fellow wrestlers not to overlook cleanliness. In his message, Morton stressed the importance of respecting peers by properly washing both their gear and themselves.
“Hygiene in pro wrestling is NOT optional. If you’re stepping in a ring, wash your gear, wash yourself, and have some respect for the people you’re working with. Nothing ruins a weekend faster than someone whose stuff stinks. Big pet peeve from this past weekend. Rant over”
The post sparked a wave of reactions, including a humorous reply from a fan who jokingly asked the offending wrestlers to identify themselves.
AEW star puts over Ricky Morton’s iconic mullet
Ricky Morton’s famous mullet has also earned praise from an AEW star.
During a previous interview with WrestleZone, AEW World Trios Tag Team Champion Mike Bailey was asked to name his Mount Rushmore of pro wrestling mullets.
“Speedball” immediately named Eddie Guerrero, saying “Latino Heat” had a hairstyle that transcended generations. He then rounded out his list with three more names, including Ricky Morton, noting that no one wore the “Mississippi Top Hat” quite like him inside the squared circle.
