WWE’s Logan Paul Denies Insider Trading Claim Tied To Pokémon Card Auction

WWE star Logan Paul addresses the claim surrounding his major auction sale.

As he mentioned on WWE Raw, Logan Paul sold his coveted Pokémon trading card for more than $16 million dollars at a recent auction, making him an even wealthier man.

Paul’s PSA Grade 10 Pikachu Illustrator specifically sold for $16,492,000 at Goldin Auctions, and according to a viral post, it came as a result of insider trading. Paul himself has since pushed back on that claim.

“This is a lie,” Paul wrote under the post, which accused him of using inside trading tactics for the auction of his Pikachu Illustrator.

The auction for Paul’s PSA Grade 10 Pikachu Illustrator spanned seven weeks, with 97 bids increasing the price up from $6.882 million to more than $16 million. Upon the auction’s close, Guinness World Records recognized Paul with a plaque for the most expensive trading card ever sold at auction.

Paul initially purchased the card in July 2021 for $4 million in cash and a trade of his PSA Grade 9 Pikachu Illustrator. With the latest sale, he reportedly would have gained more than $8 million in profits after auction fees.

Inside the ring, Paul enjoyed a tag team victory over The Usos and LA Knight on WWE Raw. That celebration, however, was cut short when the masked figure returned to stomp Paul into the announce table. As of this writing, their identity still remains a mystery.
