MLW is returning to Philadelphia with a bang.
Major League Wrestling is set for a triumphant return to Philly in July. The summer extravaganza will see the historic 2300 Arena host Fusion TV tapings and the signature Summer of the Beasts event on June 12 and 13.
“MLW’s roots in the City of Brotherly Love run deep, dating back more than two decades to the company’s debut event, Genesis, in June 2002 at the 2300 Arena, making this return also a celebration of MLW’s 24th Anniversary,” the promotion announced in a statement.
MLW ticket prices for Philly event
Tickets go on sale Friday, February 27, at 10:00 a.m. ET at MLW2300.com, with seats starting at $15. MLW World Heavyweight Champion Killer Kross, Featherweight Champion Shotzi, former world champion Matt Riddle, and CONTRA Unit are scheduled to appear.
“The event will also feature a special appearance by Don Gato, as MLW and Don Gato Tequila continue their high-energy partnership in bringing fans an unforgettable live experience,” the statement concluded.
Shotzi Blackheart defeated Shoko Nakajima to win the MLW World Women’s Featherweight Championship at a recent MLW Fusion taping. On the same night, Austin Aries defeated Blue Panther to capture the National Openweight Championship.
