Joe Hendry and Thea Hail are one of the most fun duos in WWE NXT. But even great teams have their goofy moments. Recently, fans got a backstage clip, and yes, it involved a refrigerator once again.
Hendry and Hail became a team in late 2025, and fans loved them. Their partnership started during an episode of NXT when Hendry interrupted a celebration involving Ethan Page and Chelsea Green. After teasing that he had found someone who shares his belief, he said his signature line- “Say her name and she appears,” and Hail popped out of a giant cake as his surprise partner.
Since then, fans started trending the “We Believe in Thea and Joe” tagline. They had fun feuds with Page and Green in entertaining mixed tag matches, and the crowd got loud with “We Believe” chants. Hendry even acted like a mentor at times and helped Hail with her presentation, which gave their partnership a sweet big-brother, little-sister feel.
Eventually, their story led to championship success for Hail.
Joe Hendry Comically Avoids Thea Hail’s Dance Challenge Ahead of NXT
Recently, Thea Hail posted a backstage video. In it, she was happily doing a TikTok dance while Hendry stood next to her, looking confused and slightly stressed. Staying true to her personality, Hail kept trying to get him to join in. Joe Hendry, on the other hand, kept saying no.
As she continued to pull him to dance, Hendry slowly backed away. Then, instead of joining in, he walked over to a nearby refrigerator, opened it, stepped inside, and shut the door, all to avoid dancing.

It’s a fun clip, especially because it played off Hendry’s running gag in NXT. On TV, he often “appears” from inside a refrigerator whenever someone says his name. This time, though, he flipped the joke. Instead of popping out, he went into the fridge on purpose to escape Thea’s TikTok energy.
