Gunther isn’t sure if he’ll show up to AJ Styles’ farewell on WWE RAW. Either way, he still thinks everyone should just get over it.
The Ring General ended AJ Styles’ WWE career at the 2026 Royal Rumble in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia last month. WWE is advertising Styles for a tribute ceremony for Monday’s episode of RAW in Atlanta, which is near his hometown of Gainesville, Georgia.
Gunther appeared on Atlanta’s The Morning Shift on 92.9 The Game to promote WWE RAW. During the show, he was asked about potentially spoiling Styles’ farewell segment. He knows it’s tempting, but Gunther isn’t sure he wants to be involved and hopes people get over it already.
Gunther wants everyone to move on
“I saw that last Monday, actually, it was advertised. And I was thinking that it obviously has to be a farewell. Everybody has to gather around the ring and cry a little bit and get all emotional,” he explained. “I wish everybody would grow up and be able to move on in life and realize when it’s time to go. Just move on.
“I don’t know what I am doing with it right now, to be honest,” Gunther teased. “I could stay away from it, because why would I involve myself with it? [Although] t’s a bit tempting to try and ruin it, so we’ll see.”
This week’s episode of WWE RAW will also feature an appearance from Brock Lesnar, CM Punk and Liv Morgan, who will make her WrestleMania decision. The show will also feature Jey Uso, “Original” El Grande Americano and Bronson Reed facing off in a Triple Threat Match for the final spot in the Men’s Elimination Chamber.
