Former WWE Stars Lose AEW In-Ring Debut in Under 30 Seconds on Dynamite

Two familiar faces from WWE officially stepped into an AEW ring this week. However, their televised debut didn’t unfold the way many expected.

During the March 4 episode of AEW Dynamite, the duo known as The IInspiration, Cassie Lee and Jessie McKay, competed in their first televised match for the company.

The former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions entered the bout with confidence and plenty of theatrics, hoping to make a strong first impression on a new stage.

Instead, the moment quickly turned into one of the shortest matches of the night.

The IInspiration Make AEW In-Ring Debut On Dynamite

The IInspiration faced the rising tag team known as The Brawling Birds — Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor. Before the bell fully settled into rhythm, Lee and McKay attempted to keep their signature entrance energy going by asking for their music to play again.

The Birds, however, weren’t interested in encore performances. They immediately launched an attack, knocking both opponents down with simultaneous offense and taking control almost instantly.

From there, the match moved at breakneck speed — or as wrestling fans might say, it went from entrance to exit faster than a surprise roll-up.

Hayter and Windsor stacked the duo up and finished the match with their tag team finisher, Two Birds One Stone, pinning Jessie McKay to secure the victory in well under 30 seconds.

The win continues an impressive run for The Brawling Birds, who improved their record to 4-0 since debuting as a team earlier this year.

For The IInspiration, the result was a stark contrast to their confident pre-match promo. Ahead of the bout, Lee and McKay had vowed to “inspire the masses” and claimed their opponents didn’t have the courage to face them head-on.

Instead, the Birds flipped the script — and did it quickly.

While the loss marks a rough televised start for the former WWE duo, their arrival still adds another recognizable team to AEW’s growing women’s tag division. Whether this debut becomes a stumbling block or simply the first step of a longer story remains to be seen.
