WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque recently had some fun at the expense of one of the company’s producers while hyping the growing star power of Trick Williams.
The moment came in a short backstage clip posted to social media (X), where Triple H discussed the elaborate presentation built around Williams’ entrance.
The video, filmed at a WWE event with Elimination Chamber signage visible, showed Levesque enthusiastically explaining how the entrance highlights Williams’ charisma and presence.
While praising the SmackDown star, Triple H also slipped in a humorous jab aimed at producer Bobby Roode. HHH suggested that the former WWE United States Champion might not be thrilled about the creative inspiration behind the entrance.
Triple H Teases WWE Producer About Trick Williams’ Entrance
In the clip, Triple H jokingly admitted that the idea behind Williams’ entrance borrows elements from a concept associated with Roode.
“You know Bobby had the original spinner,” Triple H said with a laugh. “I told him that we were gonna bite his idea,” Williams replied.
Levesque then joked about Roode’s reaction. He said that the producer was likely “massively pissed” about the situation before quickly framing the change as an upgrade. According to Triple H, Williams’ version is essentially the “superstar version” of the concept.
The playful exchange highlighted WWE’s backstage dynamic. It also emphasized the company’s confidence in Williams as a rising name on the roster.
Triple H continued describing the entrance presentation in detail. He explained how lighting boards illuminate when Williams hits the stage, while smoke effects surround him as he stands in a white coat.
The design, he said, is meant to capture the moment and showcase Williams’ energy as a performer.
Williams’ entrance has become one of WWE’s more recognizable moments. Fans often react loudly to the music and visual elements.
Even veteran stars have acknowledged its impact. This reinforces the idea that the entrance is doing exactly what it’s meant to do. Turning a walk to the ring into a full-blown moment.
As Triple H’s comments made clear, if the entrance gets fans talking, the creative team may consider it a job well done — even if a producer takes the joke on the chin.
