Braun Strowman Trolls Cody Rhodes’ Defense of Triple H’s WWE Booking

Cody Rhodes recently offered strong praise for Triple H’s work as WWE’s chief creative force, but not everyone appears to share that opinion.

A former WWE champion has now weighed in publicly, and his response has added another layer to an ongoing conversation among wrestling fans.

While Rhodes painted a picture of a demanding role that few could handle, a brief social media reaction from Braun Strowman suggested he sees the situation from a very different perspective.

The exchange has quickly become a talking point as fans continue debating WWE’s recent television performance.

Braun Strowman fires back at Cody Rhodes’ Triple H comments

During an appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show, Rhodes spoke highly of Triple H and the challenges that come with overseeing WWE creative.

“If you want a job in the wrestling space, nobody has a harder job than Triple H right now. There’s never been a booker in the history of the business who has been beloved and revered the entire time. Nobody has a harder job, and no one can do that job better than he can do it,” Rhodes said.

The Undisputed WWE Champion also compared Triple H to a head coach guiding a talented roster. Cody Rhodes also praised HHH’s willingness to seek input from performers.

“He’s the head coach of this team… One thing he’s big on is, ‘What do you think? What’s your gut tell you?’ That’s one of the greatest gifts, to be asked that when you have the experience.”

Strowman, however, wasn’t convinced. Responding to Rhodes’ comments on social media (X), the former WWE Universal Champion wrote, “Ratings say otherwise lol.”

The remark appeared to reference recent discussions surrounding WWE television viewership. The June 1, 2026, episode of RAW reportedly drew 2 million global views, a figure lower than the show’s early Netflix-era peak. More recently, the June 15 episode reportedly generated 2.4 million global views.

For now, neither Rhodes nor Triple H has publicly responded to Strowman’s comment. Still, the brief exchange shows that when it comes to evaluating WWE’s creative direction, not everyone is reading from the same script.
