A career in pro wrestling becomes short-lived for female wrestlers due to their personal lives and motherhood choices. However, things have quite changed lately as we see more female stars wrestling while being pregnant, and rising female WWE superstar Maxxine Dupri recently gave her honest opinion on this issue.
Dupri first appeared in WWE NXT as Sofia Cromwell. Later, she moved to the main roster as Maxxine Dupri and joined the group Maximum Male Models before eventually becoming part of Alpha Academy alongside Chad Gable and Otis.
One of the biggest moments of her career came in November 2025 when she defeated Becky Lynch to win the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
Dupri recently gave a funny but honest answer to a strange question about her future in wrestling and whether she would wrestle while pregnant.
Maxxine Dupri Jokes About Wrestling While Pregnant
While appearing on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast, Dupri joked about the idea of wrestling while pregnant and explained how things actually work in the company.
When Paul asked Dupri the question, she replied, “Yeah. YOLO. You know that when we go to certain arenas, they make a sign saying we’re not pregnant.”
Even though she was joking, her answer also showed that WWE has safety rules in place for its performers.
Dupri also discussed her personal life and plans for starting a family in the future. The WWE star married fellow wrestler Anthony Luke in December 2025 in Naples. The couple celebrated their engagement on Christmas Eve 2024.
Dupri said she wants to have children when the timing feels right. She explained that financial stability and being close to family are very important to her.
“I would love to have a kid one day, but again, like I need to be able to afford the home I want in California near my parents. Like, I don’t want to have a kid in Florida away from my family,” she said.
The conversation also touched on concerns about having children later in life. When co-host Mike Majlak mentioned that she might worry about her age in the future, Dupri said that she already has a plan.
“I am so blessed that my insurance is going to cover my IVF because I’m a carrier of ALD. So, it doesn’t matter what age I am. I’m going to pop out a healthy baby when the time comes, when I’m ready,” she said.
ALD is a genetic condition that can affect the nervous system and adrenal glands. IVF with genetic screening can help prevent passing the condition to children.
While she spoke about future family plans, Dupri is also focused on her WWE career right now.
Currently, she has been involved in a heated feud with her former mentor, Natalya (now Nattie). The rivalry has already led to several intense moments on RAW, and Dupri is now looking for revenge.
