Our WWE NXT results for tonight include Booker T Appreciation Night, Jacy Jayne defending the NXT Women’s Championship against Sol Ruca and Zaria, Wren Sinclair challenging Fallon Henley for the WWE Speed Women’s Championship, Hank and Tank clashing with Birthright for the number one contendership, and El Grando Americano, Rayo, and Bravo taking on Vanity Project. Here’s our review and grades for tonight’s show, live from the 713 Music Hall in Houston, Texas

WWE NXT Results:
NXT Women’s Championship triple Threat Match | Jacy Jayne (c) w/Fatal Influence vs. Sol Ruca vs. Zaria
Jayne tries to lie back and let Zaria and Ruca fight. Ruca sends Zaria out of the ring. Ruca and Jayne trade strikes. Jayne sends Ruca into Zaria after a rana. Zaria boots Ruca’s head off her shoulders. After sending Ruca over the top, Jayne lands a hangman’s lungblower. Ruca breaks up the pin with a splash. Ruca takes out Fatal Influence with a Saske Special. Zaria stands in the ring, waiting for Ruca. Jayne sends Ruca into the ring steps. Jayne takes over on Zaria after Reid trips Zaria on the apron.
After the break, Ruca and Zaria tear into each other. Zaria spears Jayne. Ruca spears Zaria and goes up top. Zaria cuts Ruca off. Jayne follows. Zaria suplexes Ruca and Jayne off the top at the same time. Zaria can’t hold either woman down for a three count. Zaria F5s Jayne. Ruca breaks up the pin. Ruca counters Zaria’s F5 with an X-Factor. Sol Snatcher by Ruca. Zaria pulls Ruca out of the ring and F5 her on the floor. Zaria sends Ruca back in. Fatal Influence attacks Zaria. In the confusion, Jayne lays her arm across Ruca for the pin.
Winner and STILL NXT Women’s Champion, Jacy Jayne!
Grade: B-
Solid triple threat. This writer is a big fan of all three women, but at this point, Jayne needs to move to the main roster. It’s time. She’s ready. That said, it seems we are going to pivot to Kendal Grey challenging Jayne… which is a choice. Not sure if it’s a good one right now. Let us know what you think in the comments!
The Revolution is Here
Ricky Saints says he can slip, but he never falls. The real main event is standing right in front of the NXT Universe. Things are looking up. After a small blip, Saints is back on the same page with Ethan Page. Saints is thinking of tag team names for the two of them. The only reason they aren’t going after the tag titles is because their boys, the Vanity Project, are the tag champs. Page is going to focus on the North American Championship while Saints becomes a two time NXT Champion. Page joins Saints in the ring. Page notes that he is the one who pinned NXT Champion Joe Hendry. Saints says he’s going to give Page the chance to call out Myles Borne.
Page wants to become a two time champion, just not the North American Champion. Joe Hendry’s music hits. NXT Champion Joe Hendry walks to the ring. He doesn’t want to get in this little tiff, but Page has a point. Page did get the win last week, and maybe Saints doesn’t want it as bad as Page. Hendry pokes at Saints and Page’s “friendship.” Saints and Page argue about who can beat who and end up jumping on Hendry. Hendry manages to floor Saints and Page with a double clothesline, followed by fallaway slams for both of them. Hendry does his pose, and when he turns around, Tony D’Angelo cuts him in half with a spear. D’Angelo gives Page a spinebuster. Saints gets one for his troubles as well.
Grade: C+
This was fine, but way too predictable. Just book the four-way now, Mr. Stone. What are we doing?
El Grando Americano, Rayo, and Bravo vs. Vanity Project
After a bit of back and forth and tons of flippy stuff, Smokes eats a finisher from each Americano. El Grande pins Smokes.
Winners- El Grando Americano, Rayo, and Bravo
Grade: C+
This one was fine but entirely too long. Technically, this was a heel vs. heel match, which makes little sense.
Booker T Appreciation Night
Vic Joseph gives Booker a heartfelt intro as the event kicks off. Queen Sharmell and more of Booker’s family are in the ring. Joseph throws to a highlight video of Booker’s peers putting him over. Joseph hands Booker an official plaque commemorating tonight as Booker T Appreciation Night. Booker thanks the fans for making all of this possible. Keanu Carver interrupts. As Carver walks to the ring, several people try to get in the way. Carver dismantles all of them. Carver gets in the ring. Jasper Troy runs down and makes the save. Most of the NXT locker room walks out on the ramp to applaud Booker. Booker grabs a mic and goes off on Mr. Stone for allowing something like this to happen in Booker’s city.
Grade: B
Booker is well worth celebrating. Great stuff. That said, what is Carver’s issue with Booker? I cover this show every week, and at no point have they explained the issue between the two. It obviously stems from LFG, but no one watches that, so how the heck are we supposed to know?
WWE Speed Women’s Championship Match | Fallon Henley (c) vs. Wren Sinclair
Henley’s shoulder is taped up after getting beaten up by Zaria earlier tonight. Sinclair traps Henley in Cattle Mutilation with a minute left. Henley taps out.
Winner and NEW Speed Champion, Wren Sinclair!
Grade: C+
Speed matches… ugh. Happy Henley is away from this silliness, but sad that the albatross that is the Speed title is now firmly placed around the neck of the stellar Sinclair. WWE doesn’t have the Twitter deal anymore. For the love of all that is holy shutter this silly concept.
NXT Tag Team Championship #1 Contenders Match | Hank and Tank vs. Birthright
Conners gets a win after a roll up after a distraction from Lexis King.
Winners- Birthright
Grade: C+
Standard stuff here, and every Hank and Tank match is the same. Question, does Birthright have too many memebers? How do you focus on all of those people who all need to be highlighted to get over? What do you all think? Let us know if the comments.
NXT Women’s North American Championship Steel Cage match | Tatum Paxley (c) vs. Izzi Dame
Dame attacks Paxley as she enters the cage. Dame works over Paxley outside the cage. The bell rings as Dame sends Paxley back into the ring with a steel chair. Paxley ducks a chairshot and lands a dropkick. Dame tries to climb the cage to escape, but Paxley follows. After taking turns slamming each other’s heads into the cage, both women fall to the mat.
After the break, the fight spills to the top of the cage. Paxley unloads on Dame. Dame slams Paxley’s head into the cage and hits a superplex. Paxley somehow kicks out. Dame gets a series of close nearfalls, but nothing will keep Paxley down. Dame unloads on Paxley with a chair. Paxley struggles as Dame powerbombs her into the cage. Dame sets up a powerbomb on the chair. Paxley counters with a code red on the chair. Cemetery Drive by Paxley. Paxley pins Dame.
Winner and STILL Women’s North American Champion, Tatum Paxley!
After the match, Blake Monroe pulls Paxley under the stage via a trap door. Monroe poses with the Women’s North American Championship.
Grade: B
Brutal match. There were so many tight nearfalls, this one could have gone either way. The right person won this, and it’s about time they got back to Blake Monroe trying to get her championship back.
