Nikki and Brie Bella detail how their final WWE run will play out, even if they don’t get the big sendoff others have had.
The latest episode of SiriusXM’s The Nikki and Brie Show saw the Bella Twins open up about their WWE retirement plans. According to Nikki, she and Brie will “likely” retire after their WWE contracts, which are two-year deals, run out. Nikki also said that she doesn’t see herself and Brie getting a “John Cena retirement run,” but it’s something she’d love to do.
“For me, I don’t think you and I will ever get that last retirement moment that John got and AJ Styles got, let’s be honest, the men get, right? I don’t think you and I will ever get that. But I would love to have that. Because I do know that the contract that we signed, you know, we signed a two-year deal starting Royal Rumble and for you and I, the talks we’ve had and what I know just where I’m at, that’s it. That will be the end for me and for us. And I would love, because I need the buttons on things, right? I would love to have them on. I would love to put my kicks, my snapback, my jersey right in the middle of that ring and just give that final bow. So I don’t know if we’ll ever get that. I don’t think we will, but is that what you were?”
“Yeah, I mean, if that’s what you want out of this all. Yeah,” Brie said.
Nikki Bella just wants an iconic final run
In the end, Nikki Bella just wants a strong run that she and Brie can be proud of. She wants to have fun, but she’d also like to have an iconic moment to cap it all off, too.
“I just want to have this like, I want to have some of my best matches. I want to have a lot of fun,” Nikki explained. “But I want to have an iconic moment where it’s like, I could look back and go, ‘Damn, that was a great two years. We did it.’ I don’t want to walk away with any what-ifs [or say] ‘If I only did.’ I don’t want any of that; I want to look back at these past two years that we’re about to create and be like, ‘Damn, girl. We did it.’”
