WWE has added another layer to its WrestleMania 42 presentation, with a new theme song confirmed as the company continues its build toward the two-night event in April — though it may not be the only track fans hear on the grand stage.
The announcement came via Paul “Triple H” Levesque on March 19, revealing that a familiar band will once again be part of WWE’s biggest show of the year.
However, the wording of the reveal leaves the door open for more than just a single soundtrack.
Nickelback’s “Bones For The Crows” confirmed as an official WrestleMania 42 theme
Triple H confirmed on social media (X) that Nickelback’s newly released track “Bones For The Crows” will serve as an official theme song for WrestleMania 42.
In his post, he noted the band’s long-standing relationship with WWE, stating they’ve “rocked with us for over 20 years.”
Importantly, the phrasing matters — this is described as “an” official theme, not “the” theme. That distinction suggests WWE will once again use multiple songs across its WrestleMania build and broadcast, a strategy the company has leaned on in recent years.
In fact, WWE has already been using Aerosmith’s “Back in the Saddle” in promotional material for months, indicating that the WrestleMania soundtrack is more of a tag team effort than a solo act. Much like a stacked card, there’s room for more than one headliner.
Nickelback’s involvement continues a long history with WWE. The band previously provided “Burn It To The Ground” as the theme for Monday Night RAW and has appeared in WWE programming, including live performances at Tribute to the Troops.
“Bones For The Crows” marks the band’s first new release since 2022, and its timing aligns with WWE’s push toward WrestleMania weekend at Allegiant Stadium on April 18 and 19.
With multiple theme songs now in play, WWE appears set to give WrestleMania 42 a soundtrack that hits different notes — ensuring the “Showcase of the Immortals” sounds as big as it looks.
