Tama Tonga comments on his recent fine.
After posting a WWE pre-show rehearsal video to his social media, SmackDown star Tama Tonga was reportedly hit with a five-figure fine from the company. As of this writing, the exact amount of the penalty is still unknown, though Tonga himself has since confirmed the reports.
“Thanks for joining the live. As addressed, yes I was fined – deserved,” Tonga wrote on X, referencing a recent TikTok live stream of his. “I knew better- a careless mistake. -Lesson learned. Take the hit and move on. Back to work.”
Tama Tonga addressed being ‘in the doghouse’
While speaking on his TikTok live stream, Tonga further addressed the matter, reiterating his intention to look ahead in life, rather than back.
“The biggest thing is we get hit with something, we just take the hit and keep on moving,” he said. “Can’t let that bring you down. You just gotta keep on moving. Am I in the doghouse? I’ve been in the doghouse my whole life. There’s no getting out of the doghouse. I move in life like I’m in the doghouse always.”
Despite the fine, Tonga still appeared on last week’s episode of WWE SmackDown. During the show, he and fellow MFT member JC Mateo defended the WWE Tag Team Championships against R-Truth and Damian Priest. Truth and Priest ultimately emerged victorious to become the new champions. However, Tonga claimed that Solo Sikoa, the MFT leader, was starting to sound and act like “The Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns.
