Kanye West Features Live Pro Wrestling At ‘Bully’ Release Party

Kanye West capped off his record release party with a live pro wrestling exhibit.

West released Bully, the follow-up to his 2024 album Vultures 2, at midnight on Friday. West previewed the album during a late-night listening event in Los Angeles. He also celebrated the surprise release by hosting a pro wrestling exhibition on the East Coast to accompany a livestream on YouTube.

Several independent pro wrestlers confirmed they participated in the wrestling exhibition. A.M.B., Terry Yaki and Jay Lucas all confirmed they wrestled at the listening party, which took place in Atlanta.

Ahead of the listening party, West also guaranteed the album is AI-free when sharing the track list on his Twitter/X account. This contradicts his previous claim that a large portion of the album was made with AI tools.

Kanye West has been influenced by pro wrestling in the past

In addition to featuring wrestling matches in the Bully livestream, Kanye West has also made several appearances at various pro wrestling events.

West attended Pro Wrestling NOAH and Tokyo Joshi Pro-Wrestling events in Japan in 2024. The rapper was in the crowd at NOAH’s Sunny Voyage event in Tokyo, where he ended up “dapping” Los Golpeadores, Super Crazy and Daga from his seat. The NOAH appearance was a day after he first announced Bully during a show in Haikou, China.

That same year, he also appeared at “WangMania” in Tokyo. West performed a concert in the ring, which saw TJPW‘s Miyu Yamashita and Mizuki compete.
