The latest addition to the WWE Hall of Fame is a timeless scene.
Last year, WWE unveiled a new element of its Hall of Fame, the “Immortal Moment,” which recognizes the iconic matches and moments in company history. As revealed on X, Hulk Hogan vs. Andre The Giant from WrestleMania 3 will take the honor as the 2026 “Immortal Moment.”
“The slam heard around the world. The ICONIC showdown between Hulk Hogan and Andre The Giant at #WrestleMania 3 will be honored with the WWE Immortal Moment Award at the 2026 #WWEHOF Ceremony!” read the announcement.
Hulk Hogan and Andre The Giant battled in the main event of WrestleMania 3, with the former famously body-slamming his opponent before hitting a leg drop to retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Hogan’s slam on Andre specifically became known as “the slam heard around the world” for the shock and awe it instilled in the fans watching. Standing at seven-foot-four and 500 pounds, wrestling dubbed Andre as “The Eighth Wonder of the World.”
In 2025, WWE Hall of Famers Bret “The Hitman” Hart and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin shared the first Immortal Moment honor for their WrestleMania 13 match.
Alongside Hogan and Andre, the likes of AJ Styles, Stephanie McMahon, Dennis Rodman, and Demolition make up the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame class. Bad News Brown and Sycho Sid will receive posthumous inductions as well. The 2026 Hall of Fame Ceremony will take place on Friday, April 17 at 9 pm PT at Dolby Live at Park MGM in Las Vegas.
