A WWE personality outlines the dangers of a suicide dive.
Former WWE Women’s World Champion IYO SKY made headlines this week as she took a scary fall off a suicide dive on WWE Raw. Fortunately, SKY has confirmed that she is okay after it. Still, a larger conversation sparked from it.
In the eyes of WWE panelist Peter Rosenberg, suicide dives generally come with nothing but risk, which is why he suggests that wrestlers avoid doing them.
“This is why I tell whoever I can at evolve and even on the main roster — don’t bother with these dives. They are all risk — no reward,” he wrote on X. “If you successfully hit a suicide dive in 2026 no one cares, But if you mess it up you could truly harm yourself! Don’t do it.”
“Meant to add the caveat,” he added. “I am NOT a wrestler of course lol.. but when I watch this up close I cringe every time.”
SKY’s dive came amidst her singles match against Raquel Rodriguez on Raw, with Asuka and Kairi Sane watching from ringside. At one point, Asuka began berating Sane, which prompted SKY to step in and wipe out Asuka with the aforementioned dive.
Despite the rough landing onto the floor below, SKY managed to reenter the ring on her own, where Rodriguez then finished her off with a Tejana Bomb.
With the nickname of “The Genius of The Sky,” SKY is known for hitting high-flying, high-risk moves, including dives and her finisher, the Over The Moonsault.
