WWE Paid Kim Kardashian $25,000 For ‘Brutal’ WrestleMania Appearance

Kim Kardashian allegedly took home $25,000 for her WWE WrestleMania 24 showing.

WrestleMania 24 may best be remembered for the WWE retirement match of Ric Flair or perhaps Randy Orton’s successful WWE Championship defense. For former WWE personality Jonathan Coachman, it will also be remembered for the appearance of reality TV star Kim Kardashian.

According to Coachman, WWE paid five figures for Kardashian to guest host the event and announce its new attendance record. Despite the high cost, Coach criticized the reality star for her “brutal” performance.

“2008, my last WrestleMania, Kim Kardashian was just becoming big. I remember we paid her $25,000 to come out at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando and announce the attendance,” Coachman said on The 2 Count. “Do you know that she could not remember the number and had to write it on a card? It sounded a little something like this [in a high-pitched voice]. ‘Hello, Orlando. Uh, well, new record, 60…’ Oh, it was brutal. 25 large. Now, it’d cost you 100 grand for her large, but that was the last time we had somebody announce the attendance at WrestleMania.”

Standing in the ring with a card, Kardashian confirmed that WrestleMania 24 had set a new attendance record for Orlando’s Citrus Bowl with 74,635 people in the arena. Kardashian also emerged backstage to hype the event’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match before Mr. Kennedy, one of the competitors, interrupted her.

At the time, Kardashian’s Keeping Up with the Kardashians television series was in its infancy.
