Triple H Says It Was Easier To Deal With WWE Talent When He Could Slam Them

Triple H recently explained his executive role as WWE Chief Content Officer, sharing how his executive duties differ from being a wrestler.

In a new ‘TKO Spotlight’ video, Triple H, whose real name is Paul Levesque, said he now leads WWE’s creative direction. He retired from in-ring competition in 2019 and has since taken on several backstage roles. Today, he is fully in charge of WWE’s creative side as CCO.

After taking over the role, fans praised his creative direction, especially from 2022 to 2024. In the past year, some fans have criticized certain decisions. However, the Chief Content Officer has reflected on his role.

Triple H explains the shift from WWE star to executive

Triple H explained that being a WWE Superstar meant focusing only on himself, but being an executive means focusing on everyone.

He said, “When you’re a WWE Superstar, your focus is singularly on you. When you switch to being an executive, it’s about everybody else. Your job goes from being singularly focused. To this wide net of everything that you have in front of you. It’s dealing with people, but it’s a lot easier to deal with them when you get to slam them than it is when you can’t slam them. And just have to talk to them.”
