Will Ospreay is teasing bringing some friends to AEW to even the odds with the Death Riders.
Following his return at Revolution, Will Ospreay has been on the warpath against Jon Moxley and the Death Riders after they took him out at the AEWxNJPW Forbidden Door PPV last year. However, he faced a setback on this week’s episode of Dynamite.
After he defeated PAC at the event, the Death Riders outnumbered Will Ospreay in a post-match attack. Just as Claudio Castagnoli was about to injure his neck, Jon Moxley stopped him and proceeded to taunt Ospreay, asking him how he’s planning to get his revenge while there are six of them and only one of him.
After the event, a fan account on X/Twitter posted an image from the attack, claiming Will Ospreay has no friends in AEW to help him. However, the Aerial Assassin replied to that tweet and teased that he has some friends on the outside, saying, “I got friends somewhere else though.”
Fans were quick to speculate that Will Ospreay could be talking about the United Empire from New Japan Pro-Wrestling. He will return to NJPW to team up with the faction’s Great-O-Khan and Henare to take on Yuya Uemura, Taichi, and El Desperado in a six-man tag team match at Sakura Genesis in Tokyo this Saturday. Fans believe the Aerian Assassin could bring them as backup to go against the Death Riders.
It will be interesting to see if Will Ospreay actually teased United Empire coming to AEW or if he has other plans in mind.
