Liv Morgan recently opened up about her WWE character and explained why she enjoys being a heel.
Morgan has gone through many changes in her career. She debuted on the main roster in 2017 with The Riott Squad. That version of her was more of a rebellious heel. Later, she became a fan favorite during her singles run from 2019 to 2022.
Fans connected with her story during that time. But in 2024, she changed again. She turned into a more manipulative and confident heel character.
WWE star Liv Morgan feels more comfortable as a “bad girl”
Speaking with Esteban Ramirez, Liv Morgan shared her thoughts clearly. She explained the difference between being a babyface and a heel in WWE. She said, “I like being a bad girl (laughs). I feel like you knew that. I think being a bad girl is just so fun, easy and freeing.
She continued, “When you are a good guy, you’re valiant and the people have to like you. They have to respect you, they have to want to root for you, and sometimes that can be very difficult and that can be hard. Being a bad guy, it doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter if you mess up, it doesn’t matter if they love or hate you.”
“Obviously you want to get them to hate you, but that reaction isn’t as important as when you are a good guy and you’re supposed to be getting cheered. “So I love being a bad girl, I love the freedom that gives me, I feel very comfortable, I feel very in my wheelhouse. I would stay terrible forever.” [H/T: Wrestletalk]
Right now, Morgan continues to embrace that side of her character as she heads to WrestleMania 42 to face Stephanie Vaquer.
