The April 6, 2026, episode of WWE RAW gave fans what they had been asking for a long time. Finn Bálor teased the return of his famous “Demon King” persona. With WrestleMania 42 edging closer, Bálor seems to be ready to do anything to get his revenge on Dominik Mysterio.
The rivalry between Bálor and Mysterio started a few weeks ago when the former refused to help Mysterio during his match with Penta, which eventually cost him his Intercontinental title. That resulted in a heated fallout later. Mysterio, along with the other Judgment Day members, attacked Bálor and kicked him out of the faction.
This week on RAW, things immediately got intense when Bálor came to the ring for a match against JD McDonagh. Before the match could even start, Dominik Mysterio attacked him from behind. McDonagh joined in, and the two beat Bálor down using a title belt and a steel chair.
Finn Bálor hinted at the return of his Demon King persona during WWE RAW
Later in the show, Finn Bálor appeared in a backstage segment. He looked fired up from inside but calm from outside. He said he first wanted to handle things the easy way. He also reminded everyone that he taught Mysterio how to “play dirty.”
Then things took a turn as Bálor said Dominik Mysterio had brought out a side of him he thought was gone.
As the camera zoomed in, fans noticed a creepy change in his expression, and the eyes of the “Demon King” were shown for a split second. He ended the message by saying, “At WrestleMania, it’s coming for you,” before the screen cut to black.
For Bálor’s longtime fans, this is a big tease. The Demon King is one of his most popular personas, known for the body paint, special entrances, and a more aggressive style. The last time he used it was at WrestleMania 39 against Edge in Hell in a Cell, where he lost.
