AEW’s Kenny Omega Reveals What He Told Cody Rhodes After Landing Street Fighter Role

AEW‘s Kenny Omega reveals what he told Cody Rhodes after the latter landed the role of Guile in the live-action Street Fighter movie.

AEW star Kenny Omega recently appeared on Fall Damage, where he put his gaming knowledge to the test. Omega did motion capture for the character Alex in the Street Fighter 6 video game, and he revealed what he did after learning WWE’s Cody Rhodes would play Guile in the upcoming live-action movie.

Omega revealed that he called the reigning Undisputed WWE Champion after learning the news to congratulate him. He told Cody Rhodes that he’s happy for him and admitted that the old Kenny Omega would’ve felt a little jealous. He also told Rhodes that he’d love to play Alex if there is a sequel to Street Fighter.

“We’ve actually got another Street Fighter movie. One of the first things I did when it was released that Cody was going to play Guile, I gave him a message, and I said to him, ‘Hey Codes, congrats!’ And I know the old me would’ve been just fuming, he would’ve been jealous, he would’ve been upset that you got this role, but I’m just excited and happy for you, and if there is a Street Fighter 2, then absolutely, I’d love to play Alex. But I would need to know in advance because I would have to do something about packing on like 50 to 60 pounds of lean muscle mass,” Kenny Omega said.

Kenny Omega is currently looking to win his second AEW World Championship. He’ll challenge MJF for the title at AEW Dynasty this Sunday.
