Planned MJF Match Scrapped After TNA Decision — Report

A planned cross-promotional match involving MJF has reportedly been blocked. It has raised questions about TNA becoming stricter with outside appearances.

This seems to be part of a bigger change in TNA. Earlier, they were more open to letting their wrestlers appear in other promotions.

But now, things look different. Another report says Moose was also pulled from a Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling show in April, even though he was first allowed to appear. He was expected to face someone from another promotion, possibly AEW, before TNA changed its mind.

These mixed decisions have reportedly frustrated some TNA wrestlers. Some matches are allowed, while others are suddenly canceled.

Report details TNA decision on planned MJF match

According to a report from Fightful Wrestling, MJF was supposed to face Bear Bronson at a GCW event in March. But the match didn’t happen because TNA blocked it. The decision was probably connected to the company being more careful about its wrestlers working with talent from other promotions, especially AEW.

TNA seems worried about how its wrestlers are shown in other promotions. They don’t want their talent to lose or look weak in shows they don’t control. It’s still unclear if this is due to some internal strategy, network pressure, or other business reasons.

According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, TNA President Carlos Silva has said that “partner conflicts” are part of the issue.

Even with all this, not every crossover match is off. MJF is still expected to face Nic Nemeth at a Create-A-Pro Wrestling event on May 1, though there were talks about blocking that match, too.

On top of that, there is also some tension because AEW’s Collision recently aired at the same time as a TNA show. This scheduling clash reportedly didn’t sit well with TNA, even though it may not have been AEW’s direct decision.
