Tis the season of WrestleMania, and for some people, love. Thanks to ESPN, there is now an opportunity to celebrate both at the same time.
Per a press release, five couples will officially tie the knot in Las Vegas through a WWE-inspired wedding experience ahead of WrestleMania 42. Specifically described as a “once-in-a-lifetime” experience hosted by ESPN, WWE star The Miz will officiate the ceremonies for these brides and grooms on Thursday, April 16, from 3 pm – 5 pm PT.
In addition to The Miz, the ceremonies themselves will feature WWE-inspired wedding production, photo ops with official WWE belts and memorabilia, and a commemorative “WWEdding” certificate.
“WrestleMania is known for delivering moments that last a lifetime, and for the first time ever, fans can make their love story part of the spectacle as we celebrate the first-ever WrestleMania as part of the ESPN family,” The Miz said.
“At ESPN, we believe sports fandom is forever,” ESPN’s Senior Vice President of Marketing Jo Fox added. “For our first WrestleMania on the ESPN App, we wanted to give couples bound by their shared love of WWE and ready to say ‘I do’ a way to begin their next forever chapter by fully embracing everything they love together.”
To participate in the WWEddings, hopeful couples must pre-register at the Tag Teams for Life page and obtain a physical marriage license from the State of Nevada before the event. Valid government-issued photo ID is also required.
For fans in the United States, WWE WrestleMania will air on April 18 and 19 through the ESPN app with an ESPN Unlimited plan.
