Chris Jericho Files Hilarious New Trademark

AEW‘s Chris Jericho has filed a hilarious new trademark application.

After months of speculation, Chris Jericho finally returned to All Elite Wrestling earlier this month. He immediately started a rivalry with The Demand and ended up losing to Ricochet at AEW Dynasty. Following the PPV, Jericho had another setback after Ricochet, Toa Liona, and Bishop Kaun laid him out at Dynamite: Spring BreakThru yesterday.

Now, Chris Jericho has filed a new application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) to trademark the phrase, “The Guy Who Gets His Ass Beat By The Demand Every Week That He Shows Up.” The USPTO has accepted the application, which is awaiting assignment to an examining attorney.

The description of Chris Jericho’s trademark application reads:

“IC 041: Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, televised appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Providing online interviews featuring professional wrestler and sports entertainer in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment for entertainment purposes.”

A Recent report indicated that Chris Jericho has signed a new multi-year deal with AEW, reaching an agreement with the promotion in the last month or so. It also mentioned that Jericho did consider returning to WWE but thought the company would try to have him end some of his outside projects.
