Nikki Bella Addresses Nia Jax Injury Rumors After WWE WrestleMania 42

Nikki Bella wanted to clear the confusion around her injury as fans had link it to Nia Jax. But Nikki said that version wasn’t true at all.

The injury happened last month on SmackDown, when Nikki Bella and Brie Bella competed in a chaotic tag team match with Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss. Several others got involved during the match, as Bayley, Lyra Valkyria, Lash Legend, and Nia Jax all interfered. Somewhere in that chaos, Nikki hurt her ankle badly.

The injury ruled her out of WrestleMania 42. She wasn’t cleared in time for the event. Paige returned and replaced her in the match. Paige teamed with Brie Bella and won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. It was a big moment, but Nikki wasn’t part of it.

Later, Nikki shared more details about her condition. She revealed she had surgery two weeks earlier. Nikki directly addressed the rumors during her podcast. She said fans misunderstood what really happened in the ring. Many blamed Nia Jax for causing the injury. But Nikki made it clear that wasn’t the case.

Nikki Bella addresses Nia Jax being linked to her injury concern

Speaking on a recent episode of Nikki & Brie Show, Nikki denied fan speculation that Jax injured her by throwing her.

“What I want to clear up, because at first Nia had gotten a lot of heat online, and she actually helped me, is when it came to the end of the match and the girls had to take us out. I knew at that point, like, I couldn’t even put weight on my foot at that point, and I was in so much pain where I knew I was like, “Oh gosh, this is really bad,” and I knew what was about to happen.”

“So when she came to take me out, I looked at her, I go, ‘Please no, my foot hurts so bad.’ And she goes, ‘Wait, what?’ And I’m like, ‘I can’t get thrown out. I need to step out.’ So she, like, helped me step out, but people made it like she injured me. And I was like, ‘No, Nia actually really helped me in that moment because I don’t know what I would have belly flopped on the ground if I got thrown out because I knew I couldn’t put my feet down.'”
