Nikki Bella has revealed the foot injury that led to her being medically unfit to compete at WrestleMania 42.
The WWE Hall of Famer was originally scheduled to team up with Brie Bella to challenge for the Women’s Tag Team Championship. However, Nikki suffered a foot injury in the lead-up to the show.
Despite the setback, Nikki still appeared alongside her twin sister for the match. She addressed the crowd and confirmed she was not cleared to compete, before announcing Paige as her replacement in the match.
Paige and Brie Bella went on to capture the Women’s Tag Team Championship on WrestleMania Saturday. After the match, the duo celebrated their title win with Nikki Bella by their side.
Nikki Bella shows foot injury on social media
On X, Nikki Bella shared a clip of her injured foot, which appeared swollen and heavily bruised.
Promising to provide more details soon, Nikki revealed that she had fractured, torn, and sprained her ankle, adding that it has been a painful two weeks for her.
The Bella Twins and Paige later appeared on the WrestleMania post-show panel to discuss their Women’s Tag Team Championship victory.
