WWE WrestleMania 43 is taking place in Saudi Arabia next year, but Nashville officials say that wasn’t always the plan.
FOX 17 Nashville reports that WrestleMania 43 was scheduled to take place at Nissan Stadium in Nashville. It was noted that the Tennessee Titans and Nashville tourism groups’ leaders touted the major event coming in 2027, but that is no longer the case.
According to a FOX 17, Visit Music City, the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp, claim that “the date didn’t work out, and we are looking at future years.” It is unclear why the date didn’t work out, but construction on New Nissan Stadium, the Titans’ new home, is set to be finished in February 2027. Wrestlemania 43 would have been one of the first events hosted in the domed stadium.
Nashville has hosted major WWE PLEs in recent years
Nashville has been home to several major WWE events over the years. This includes the 2022 SummerSlam event at the original Nissan Stadium (aka Adelphia Coliseum, LP Field). That event featured Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar, which was highlighted by Lesnar arriving with a tractor to tip over the ring.
In September 2025, WWE announced that it would bring WrestleMania to Saudi Arabia. This will mark the first time that WWE’s annual marquee event will take place outside of North America. WrestleMania 43 is scheduled to take place as a two-night event in April 2027 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The two-night event will be part of the 2026–2027 Riyadh Season. However, an exact date has not been announced at this time.
