WWE’s Jordynne Grace Shares Encouraging Update After Ankle Injury Scare

Jordynne Grace is cleared to compete, but she says things could have been much worse after a recent ankle injury.

Grace “glitched” her ankle at the March 6 WWE SmackDown taping, where she was competing in a match against Alba Fyre for WWE Main Event. Grace was sidelined for a few weeks, but recently made her in-ring return on the April 16 episode of Main Event, picking up a win over Zelina Vega.

During a recent interview with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard, Grace said she is completely cleared to compete. She also pointed out that she’s lucky it was only an ankle sprain.

“My ankle is at 100% now. I was cleared like two weeks ago. It was a sprain, thank God. At first, they thought it was way worse, like a ligament tear and that I might have to get surgery, so I’m really thankful I didn’t have to go through that,” she explained.

“It’s at 100% now, I’m good to go. The only precaution I’m really taking is wearing compression socks just to make the ankle more stable. They recommended I tape it every time,” Grace continued. “But I feel like I lose all ankle flexibility doing that, so I’m just sticking with the compression socks and trying not to step on any curbs.”

What’s next for Jordynne Grace?

Now that she’s back in the ring, Jordynne Grace just wants to be the best WWE Superstar she can be. Grace had a few potential opponents in mind. Overall, she just wants to show the WWE fans exactly what she is capable of.

“I’m just trying to compete at the highest level possible in front of as many people as possible. I’m ready to have some of the dream matches I’ve been waiting to have my entire career, like Rhea. I want to wrestle Giulia again,” Grace said.

“There’s no one on the roster right now that I look at and think ‘I don’t want to wrestle this person.’ The talent here is incredible, everything is so stacked,” she added. “I’m ready to show the WWE Universe exactly what I can do.”

Jordynne Grace made her SmackDown in-ring return last week in a Women’s United States Championship #1 Contender’s match against Tiffany Stratton, who ultimately picked up the win.
