WWE Hall of Famer Backs Jade Cargill After Viral SmackDown Hair Mishap

Jade Cargill became one of the biggest talking points coming out of the June 12 episode of WWE SmackDown because of an unfortunate hair mishap. While many fans joked about the moment online, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray believes Cargill deserves credit for the way she handled it.

The incident happened during a Queen of the Ring first-round Fatal Four-Way match featuring Jade Cargill, Charlotte Flair, Lyra Valkyria, and Sol Ruca. The awkward moment came during a top-rope superplex involving Flair and Ruca. During the sequence, Cargill’s wig came off loose.

She quickly rolled out of the ring to fix the issue before getting back into the match. Despite the distraction and the embarrassment that came with it, Cargill kept competing until the match was over.

Bully Ray believes Jade Cargill handled the hair mishap like a pro

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray praised Cargill for staying composed and pushing through the situation.

“I’m giving a shout out to Jade Cargill. Good job, girlfriend. You were put in a very rough uncomfortable situation,” he said.

Ray hit back at the online criticism and pointed out that wrestling is unpredictable and that wardrobe mishaps are nothing new.

“Lot of people making fun of Jade on social media over the weekend for the unfortunate mishap of the wig. Right? It happens, wardrobe malfunctions happen, hair extensions get pulled out. Dudes have crapped themselves in the ring, anything can happen,” Ray said.

Ray also noted that many performers might have chosen to disappear from the spotlight after something like that happened. Instead, Cargill stayed in the fight.

“For a woman to have her wig come off on national television, man, it’s pretty easy to roll out and roll under the ring, and hopefully nobody sees you, right? She persevered, she kept on trucking, and she got through the match. She did what she had to do. Good job, Jade. Good for you girl,” Ray said.
