Jesse Ventura: Hulk Hogan’s Death Signaled The End of an Era

Jesse Ventura says Hulk Hogan’s death signified the end of an era.

WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan passed away at the age of 71 due to a heart attack on July 24 2025. Netflix’s Hulk Hogan: Real American documentary features the legend’s final interview before his passing, and the final episode showed WWE legends like Bruce Prichard, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, and Jesse Ventura reacting to Hogan’s death.

Jesse Ventura shared an emotional reaction, saying Hulk Hogan’s death signified the end of an era, and hearing of the Immortal’s passing made him feel very mortal.

“It signified the end of my era. That it was now the book was closed. Hulk dying made you feel real mortal,” Jesse Ventura said.

Nick Hogan says Hulk Hogan biopic is still possible despite earlier setback

Speaking on the 83 Weeks podcast with Eric Bischoff, Hulk Hogan’s son Nick Hogan noted that the success of the Netflix documentary could help revive his father’s biopic. It was in the works a few years ago, with Chris Hemsworth expected to play the role of the WWE legend. However, the project was cancelled by 2024.

“I definitely think there’s potential for that. I think there’s absolutely potential. You know, when all that talk was happening about Chris Hemsworth, I thought that was really cool because I’m a huge Chris Hemsworth fan. I love the Thor movies. I love all of his projects.

“He just had another film come out that’s fantastic. And he’s just an excellent actor. And, you know, his physique and the way he looks, I mean, he would play a great Hulk Hogan. So, that would be really cool. And, you know, even if it wasn’t him or it was a different project, I think that there’s a lot of meat on the bone there for this story to be told in that way. And I would really love to see that. And I think it’s definitely possible.”
