WOW Owner Jeanie Buss Backs Reality Star Spencer Pratt’s Mayoral Run With Max Donation

WOW’s Jeanie Buss has donated to an ongoing campaign.

Women of Wrestling co-owner Jeanie Buss is backing Spencer Pratt in the Los Angeles mayoral race. As revealed in a contribution report, Buss donated $1800, the max allowed per person, to Pratt’s campaign.

The former star of “The Hills” is running as an independent candidate in the LA mayoral race. Per his mission website: “Committed to accountability and growth, Spencer Pratt is dedicated to fighting for the communities too often ignored by those in power and ensuring that Los Angeles is once again ‘camera-ready’ for all its citizens.”

In addition to Buss, notable backers to Pratt’s campaign include American Idol alum Katharine McPhee and the ex of his fellow Hills alum Lauren Conrad, Doug Reinhardt. Other names seen in the aforementioned contribution report are engineer Eric Buckwalter, Sunlife Organics founder Khalil Rafati, and Madaluxe Group CEO Adam Freede. Freede put forth a $1,300 donation to Pratt’s mission.

Within the wrestling world, Jeanie Buss is known as the co-owner and promoter of WOW: Women of Wrestling. WOW, an all-women’s pro wrestling promotion, is based in Los Angeles. The lineage of the WOW Champions features the likes of Tormenta, Tessa Blanchard, and Penelope Pink (also known as Marina Tucker).

Outside of wrestling, Buss is known as the governor and minority owner of the NBA’s Los Angeles Lakers franchise. Buss and her family sold their majority stake in the Los Angeles Lakers in 2025 at a $10 billion valuation. Despite the sale, the family still has a 15% minority ownership stake.
