WWE Gets WrestleMania 44 Bid From Major US City — Report

A major U.S. city has formally submitted a bid to host WWE WrestleMania 44.

WrestleMania 43 is scheduled to take place in Saudi Arabia. Now, WWE has already begun evaluating potential destinations for the 44th edition of its flagship event.

On Wednesday, Bryan Alvarez reported to his subscribers on X that Nashville, Tennessee, has submitted a bid to host WrestleMania 2028.

“Nashville has put in a bid for WrestleMania 2028, $3.5 million dollars plus tax breaks,” Alvarez wrote.

WWE’s Nick Khan has already teased where WrestleMania 44 will take place

It is also worth noting that WWE President Nick Khan recently teased the location for WrestleMania 44 during a town hall meeting.

“Wait until you hear the announcement on where we’re going to be for WrestleMania in 2028,” Khan said at a TKO town hall meeting. However, he did not provide further details about the premium live event’s location.

While Nashville has never hosted a WrestleMania, the city was reportedly under consideration for WrestleMania 43. However, those plans fell through due to construction timelines for the new stadium. New Nissan Stadium is set to open in early 2027. The tight schedule ultimately led WWE to move the event to Riyadh.

Since 2020, WWE WrestleMania has followed a two-night format. WrestleMania 42, held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, featured Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes facing Randy Orton in the Night One main event. Night Two concluded with Roman Reigns dethroning CM Punk to capture the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
