WWE Star Says Injured Tag Team Partner May Never Wrestle Again

WWE star Kit Wilson recently shared an update on his Pretty Deadly tag team partner Elton Prince and his recovery from a serious neck injury.

Prince has been out of action since last year after getting injured during a match involving Fraxiom. The injury reportedly happened after Prince took a reverse DDT during the match. It later required a two-level neck fusion surgery and caused significant nerve damage. Since then, Prince has remained away from WWE television.

During his absence, Wilson has focused on a singles run. He has gained attention in 2026 because of his new character work and entrance theme. However, Wilson recently admitted there is still uncertainty surrounding Prince’s in-ring future.

Kit Wilson says Elton Prince’s WWE in-ring future remains a big question mark

Speaking in an interview with SHAK Wrestling, Kit Wilson discussed both his singles run and the future of Pretty Deadly. He explained that the current situation is still difficult because of the seriousness of Prince’s injury.

He said, “For sure, it’s a way to elevate. The only issue is with Elton and the unfortunate injury, there’s still a big question mark there. You know, we’ve got a long road of recovery, and it’s still a bit of a question mark whether he will return to the ring.”

“You know, it’s a serious injury, so I hope he does. I want him to come back, and if he does, yeah, hopefully I’ve raised the profile enough that it’ll be a bigger and better Pretty Deadly. The fun side of that is I think it’ll be a bit of a different Pretty Deadly.”

“I don’t think we fully know what that will be, and I think it’ll be a more mature Pretty Deadly. Again, starting off in NXT UK, I think I was 24. I think Elton was 22. You know, I’m now 30. Elton is, I think, any day now turning 29.”

Wilson then spoke about how Pretty Deadly could evolve if the team reunites in the future. “So I think Pretty Deadly, by the time they come back and by the time they reform, we’re just gonna be more mature. I think we’re gonna be just a different animal.”

“I don’t even fully know what that is. I think we’ll very much stand for a lot of similar things, but it’s gonna be an evolution for real, for sure. We were Charmander before, and now we’re about to become Charizard.”
