WWE star Natalya recently shared an emotional message for Asuka. The message followed her apparent goodbye moment on WWE RAW. The segment came just days after Asuka’s appearance at WWE Backlash.
At Backlash, Iyo Sky defeated Asuka in a major match. Much of the attention came after the match ended. Asuka dropped her heel persona and embraced Sky in a heartfelt moment. Fans quickly noticed the emotional reaction between the two stars.
This week on WWE RAW, Asuka once again shared a backstage segment with SKY. During the moment, Asuka explained that she had been searching for someone. She wanted someone to carry her position forward in WWE. Asuka said Sky had earned that role. The two then hugged once again in what many fans viewed as a possible farewell moment.
Reports later suggested that Asuka could now be considered semi-retired although her exact WWE future reportedly remains unclear internally.
Natalya praises Asuka after emotional WWE RAW segment
Following Asuka’s RAW appearance, Natalya took to X. She praised the former WWE Women’s Champion. Natalya shared a backstage photo of herself hugging Asuka after Backlash. She thanked her for everything she has contributed to wrestling.
She wrote, “So grateful I got to hug you when you came back after your match at Backlash, Asuka. You mean so much to all of us, both in the ring and backstage. Nothing but love, admiration, and respect for you always @WWEAsuka . You are everything that is great about wrestling. ❤️”
