New Update Casts Doubt On WWE WrestleMania 44 Taking Place In London

Is London no longer a possibility for WWE WrestleMania 44?

WWE President Nick Khan recently teased an exciting announcement regarding the location of WrestleMania 44, which is set for sometime in 2028. Naturally, speculation on the potential location then began, with Nashville, New Orleans, and London raised as options.

A new report has since cast doubt on one of them.

The office of the Mayor of London indicated to POST Wrestling that there have been no negotiations to bring WWE WrestleMania to the English city in 2028.

“There are general discussions with WWE, but at present no specific discussions around bringing the 2028 WrestleMania to London,” Tom Degun of the Economic Desk with the Mayor of London’s Press Office wrote to the outlet.

Despite WrestleMania 44 not being an active consideration for England, it’s worth noting that Mayor Sadiq Khan is said to be “determined to bring even more sports from around the world to London, including the biggest WWE events, and continues to discuss future opportunities.”

This aligns with Khan’s 2025 statements, which expressed his determination to establish London as a sports capital of the world.

Chatter about potentially bringing “The Show of Shows” to London dates back to 2023, when 17-time world champion John Cena endorsed the idea in front of the local crowd at the Money in the Bank PLE. The next year, Sadiq Khan personally met with WWE President Nick Khan and WWE’s Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque to discuss the possibility.
