WWE NXT Results:

Zaria and Nikkita Lyons vs. Tatum Paxley and Lizzy Rain

Zaria and Lyons are in control through the break. Paxley manages to tag in Rain. Rain clears the ring. Lyons avoids Rain’s finish. Rain tags in Paxley. Paxley sets up Cemetery Drive. Lyons counters with a head kick. Zaria drops off the apron as Lyons tries to tag her. Rain drops Lyons with Thunderstruck for the win.

Winners- Tatum Paxley and Lizzy Rain

Grade: B-

Fun tag match. Zaria dipping on Lyons made perfect sense. Why would she care about this match or Lyons? Zaria has the potential to be the top heel in NXT. We need more of her being a total you know what.

Naraku vs. Lince Dorado

Naraku works over Dorado. Dorado fires up and locks in a triangle. Naraku stomps Dorado’s head to get him to release the hold. Suplex into the corner by Naraku. Lariat by Naraku. Naraku lands a series of nasty, Gunther-like chops. Naraku hits Enter the Abyss (STO) for the win.

Winner- Naraku

Grade: C+

Tony Khan may hate him, but this writer likes EVIL. That said, this match was way too long, and Dorado got way too much offense. Debuts need to be impactful and set the tone for how we are supposed to view the new superstar. This should have been five moves of doom, match over.

EK Prosper, Sean Legacy, and Tate Wilder vs. Birthright (Lexis King, Stacks, and Uriah Connors)

The good guys are in control early. Legacy gets isolated, and Brithright takes turns working him over. Legacy manages to tag in Wilder, who clears the ring. Everyone trades big moves. Dempsey takes Wilder off the top with a butterfly suplex. Prosper breaks up the pin with a splash. Connors DVDs Prosper on the apron. Wilder lands a TKO on Connors. Stacks breaks up the pin. Wilder lands a dive that takes out everyone. Legacy is begging for the tag, but Wilder is ignoring him. Frog Splash by Wilder. Dempsey kicks out. Prosper begs for a tag. Wilder ignores him as well. Wilder misses a moonsault off the top. Brithright meets in the middle on Wilder for the win.

Winners- Birthright

Grade: B-

This match was total chaos, but the wrinkle of the new kid not knowing when to quit is interesting. We haven’t had one of those in a bit.

Noam Dar vs. Jackson Drake w/The Vanity Project

Dar is in control for most of the match. Lockwood gets involved, which leads to Drake landing a 450 Splash for the win.

Winner- Jackson Drake

Grade: B

Great backa nd forth match. Dar hasn’t missed a step and is one of the more underrated members of the NXT roster.

Kendal Grey vs. Kelani Jordan

Grey and Jordan trade big moves. Jordan goes up for her moonsault, but Grey grabs Jordan in an ankle lock. Jordan can’t escape. Backstage, Izzie Dame attacks Lola Vice. The fight spills to the ringside, and Wren Sinclair, who is on crutches, gets taken out in the melee. Back in the ring, Jordan lands her finish on a distracted Grey for the win.

Winner- Kelani Jordan

After the match, Vice tries to check on Sinclair. Grey gets in Vice’s face. Dame boots Vice in the head.

Grade: B

Good match. Grey is way ahead of where she should be at this point in her career, and Jordan’s heel work has come a long way. Heels don’t cheat anymore. Lani cheats. Gotta appreciate that.
