Randy Orton is acknowledging the buyer who paid over $42,000 for a rare WWE trading card.
The item in question is a “2025 Topps Royalty WWE WrestleMania 41 Randy Orton match-used patch autograph” card. Karl-Anthony Towns of the New York Knicks also tried to bid on it but fell short of the winning bid of $42,100.
“Thought it was ours for the taking, until a last minute NUCLEAR bid snuck in!” Karl said. “Thought 40k would get it done.”
Topps and WWE introduced a match-used patch program ahead of WrestleMania 41 in 2025. Every superstar who competed at the event wore special commemorative patches on their gear, which were later removed, authenticated, and inserted into exclusive one-of-one signed trading cards.
The card featured a match-used patch from Randy Orton’s gear at WWE WrestleMania 41. Along with signing it, Orton added a personal touch by writing “WM #20” to mark the 20th WrestleMania appearance of his legendary career.
Randy Orton announces a special gift for WWE card buyer
Taking to X, Orton announced a special gift for the winning bidder, stating that whoever purchased the valuable WWE trading card should also receive the throwback gear he wore at WrestleMania 41.
“Whoever bought this card should be entitled to the throwback gear I wore at WM41,” Orton posted.
Randy Orton defeated Joe Hendry in an open challenge at WrestleMania 41 on Sunday. The Viper later headlined WrestleMania 42 Night 1 in April 2026 against Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
