Christian Cage Seen Bleeding From Eye After AEW Dynamite Match

The build toward AEW Double or Nothing continued on the May 13, 2026, episode of AEW Dynamite as Christian Cage was left with a bloody eye after a 10-man tag team match.

The show opened with a huge tag match featuring Adam Copeland, Christian Cage, The Young Bucks, and Orange Cassidy against reigning champions FTR, Tommaso Ciampa, and War Dogs members David Finlay and Clark Connors.

The match was meant to build hype for the upcoming World Tag Team Championship “I Quit” match at Double or Nothing.

Things got out of control right away. Both teams started fighting around the ringside and all over the arena before the match could properly settle down.

Once the action finally returned to the ring, the heel team focused on isolating Christian Cage. They kept him away from his partners and beat him down for several minutes. Eventually, Cage created enough space to escape Dax Harwood and tag in Adam Copeland. Copeland entered the match and started taking out everyone in sight.

From there, The Young Bucks hit their usual fast-paced moves, Orange Cassidy came in with his unique moves, and the match became more chaotic.

One big spot came when all four babyfaces jumped off the turnbuckles onto the opposing team outside the ring. Later, Copeland hit Clark Connors with an Impaler DDT. However, the pin was broken before he could get the win. FTR nearly stole the victory shortly after with the Shatter Machine on Copeland. At the last second, Cassidy jumped in to save the match.

As the match continued, Christian Cage appeared to get cut near his left eye. Cameras showed blood on his face during the closing moments of the match.

The ending featured multiple finishers and counters. Clark Connors accidentally speared Dax Harwood after Copeland moved out of the way. The Young Bucks hit a double superkick, Cassidy landed an Orange Punch, and Copeland finished Connors with a huge Spear for the win.

The victory gives Copeland and Cage some momentum heading into Double or Nothing, but Cage’s bloody eye also showed how brutal the upcoming “I Quit” match could become.
