Former WWE star Baron Corbin recently reacted to reports claiming he could be returning to WWE.
Earlier this week, reports claimed WWE had internally discussed bringing Baron Corbin back to the company. Dave Meltzer also speculated that Corbin could be connected to a mysterious tease involving Danhausen on SmackDown.
In another update, Fightful Select reported that Corbin had reportedly finished obligations with several companies, including MLW, and was believed to be either signed by WWE or close to signing with the company.
Baron Corbin questions claims about his current wrestling schedule
Baron Corbin has now responded to the rumors on X, formerly known as Twitter, where he appeared to question the reports about his current wrestling schedule.
“S**t I wish someone told me before I excepted [sic] these 8 shows in Europe a few days ago,” he wrote.
“Had to correct my horrible grammar. I accepted 8 shows in Europe,” he later added, after deleting the original reply. “My eye is still swollen from Australia. I also didn’t know i was done with some of these companies. Who ever is making my schedule needs to let me know this shit. I thought it was me but apparently it’s not.”
It has been nearly two years since Corbin last competed in WWE. His final televised WWE match took place on an August 2024 episode of SmackDown. Since leaving WWE, he has wrestled on the independent scene under the name Bishop Dyer across multiple promotions.
For now, Corbin’s comments appear to push back against the recent WWE return speculation.
