Baron Corbin‘s future with Major League Wrestling continues to be up in the air, with the company releasing a new update on his status.
During this week’s episode of MLW Fusion, the company teased that Bishop Dyer (the ring name he’s been using) is currently “at an impasse” in contract negotiations. As for what happens next, MLW tells fans to tune in to next week’s episode of MLW Fusion to see where their talks go.
In a follow-up article on the league’s website, MLW said Dyer is “dug in deep” in a contract dispute. Dyer is playing hardball and asking for several extravagant perks that include:
- A $190,000 Range Rover signing bonus
- $2,000-a-night five star hotel suites
- MLW investing in Dyer’s new coffee business.
Baron Corbin is likely headed back to WWE
While the company seems to be advertising a return of some sort, reports say otherwise. According to a new report from Fightful Select, Corbin is set to return to WWE. The report notes that Corbin’s stint in MLW “finished up” recently, and all signs seem to point to Corbin making a return to the place he once called home.
For what it’s worth, Corbin (real name Tom Pestock) has denied the rumors of returning to WWE. However, it seems like the idea of him coming back is picking up steam. It looks like fans could see him back with the company for the first time since 2024.
