Blake Monroe Appears Backstage During WWE SmackDown Debut

After weeks of multiple teases, Blake Monroe finally made her long-awaited main roster debut on the May 22, 2026 episode of WWE SmackDown. Although the appearance was short, it hinted that she could be placed in the middle of a significant women’s division drama.

The former AEW star, previously known as Mariah May, showed up backstage during a segment involving Chelsea Green after the Women’s United States Championship match.

Earlier in the show, Lash Legend answered Tiffany Stratton’s open challenge for the Women’s US title. Chelsea Green has been trying to befriend Stratton for the past few weeks, and this week, she came at the ringside during the match. Her involvement helped Stratton keep the title, although the champ didn’t seem to accept her after the match.

Blake Monroe Makes Her First WWE SmackDown Appearance In A Backstage Segment

After the match, WWE aired a backstage segment where Green was seen walking normally through the hallway. That’s when Monroe suddenly appeared in front of her for the first time on WWE TV.

Monroe introduced herself to Green. Green then introduced herself too, acting like Monroe obviously already knew who she was. Monroe admitted that she did know Green, but then added that she wished she didn’t.

Moreover, while introducing herself, Green extended her hand for a shake, but Monroe ignored it and turned it down while talking to her.

A few seconds later, Monroe stepped out of the way just as the Irresistible Forces suddenly attacked Green. Nia Jax led the beatdown and taunted Green for making more enemies while trying to make new friends. After that, the officials rushed in and separated them.

The segment lasted less than 20 seconds, but it officially marked Monroe’s first appearance on WWE TV since being called up from NXT.
