Donald Trump’s Tribute to WWE Legend Hulk Hogan Backfires

Donald Trump recently shared a brief tribute to the late Hulk Hogan. However, his post drew even more attention due to an unfortunate typo.

Trump shared a photo of Hogan holding up the WWF Championship on Truth Social. The post also featured the caption, “We all miss the Huckster!”

Trump’s post was clearly intended to honor Hogan, who campaigned for Trump on the 2024 campaign trail. Hogan died in July 2025 due to an acute myocardial infarction, more commonly known as a heart attack. However, Trump inadvertently called attention to a name that was actually used to insult Hogan after he left the WWF for rival company WCW in the mid-90s.

After Hogan’s departure, WWE started airing anti-WCW parodies. The humorous videos featured characters like “Billionaire Ted” and “Nacho Man,” which mocked Ted Turner and Randy Savage. The vignettes also featured “The Huckster,” which lampooned Hogan as an old, washed-up wrestler.

Trump’s use of huckster is a bit ironic, too, considering it is defined as “one who sells or advertises something in an aggressive, dishonest, or annoying way.”

Another Hogan tribute recently came under fire, as the WWE legend’s daughter recently responded to criticism after posting a beach bikini photo while grieving her father. Brooke clapped back at critics who said her “thirst trap” photo was inappropriate in the situation.
